Roles

This page explains the importance of roles in SMIS and the comparison between roles.

Sales

All users by default is having `Sales` as their role in SMIS

This is a default role that assigned to every user that logged in to SMIS.

Direct Report

Users that have `subordinates` are automatically having `Direct Report` as their role in SMIS

This is a role that assigned when you have Subordinates.

Executive (deprecated)

⚠️   Executive Role will be deprecated and changed to use `can view` instead

Executive requires admin involvement to be assigned

This is a role that assigned for special access in reporting section to be able to see all company-wide report and overview in Sales.

Custom: Can View

Can View requires admin involvement and consists of SBU or Group views

This is a custom ability that users can have access in reporting section. The can view is configured based on SBU and Group.

1. When assigned to SBU and Group, users able to see reports in Group within the SBU
2. When assigned to SBU only, users able to see all Groups in that SBU

It's not possible to have Group only.
